Australian Pacific Tour DB31

august/september 2000

In august and september 2000 I went 5 weeks to australia for a holiday. This page is a travel diary from those weeks.
On a Saturday afternoon I booked my holiday at my travel agency Touring in Zaandam. They were very helpfull even when I just asked for some information about holidays in Australia. After telling them about my wishes (an organized tour, for at least 4 weeks) they showed me a brochure with the Australian Pacific Tour from Sydney to Darwin, Cairns and back to Sydney. One of the great things of this tour was that it ended back in Sydney just when the Sydney Olympic games were on. I had never been to the Olympic games before and I thought it would just be great to visit the games.

My holiday started on wednesday 16 augustus with my flight from Schiphol Amsterdam to Sydney.
